TWA/Grand Canyon.
It was commonplace for Trans World Airline to promote its trans and intercontinental service–most especially the Lockheed “Constillation”, also known as the “Connie”, with its 4 engines operating at 2,000 horsepower each, making it the fastest aircraft of its type, outperforming even the Douglass DC-7. However, here we’re only given the slightest hint of craft by an unnamed posterist who wisely opens a window onto one of America’s most impressive national wonders to promote travel through Western skies–behold the majesty of the Grand Canyon.
