Empire Strikes Back NPR Radio Show. 1982.
In 1983, in advance of "Return of the Jedi," NPR broadcast an original radio drama of "The Empire Strikes Back," in 11 25-minute segments. This poster, used to advertise it, features an original illustration by Ralph McQuarrie, the great conceptual designer for "Battlestar Galactica," "E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial," and of course almost everything having to do with the original "Star Wars" trilogy. This illustration was originally used on the cover of The Jedi Master's Quizbook, and features a trio of fantastical creatures one might employ in one's service, if one were a Jedi Master on the swamp planet of Dagoba. This is a half-sheet poster.
